Policies

The New Zealand Stoic Society is committed to creating a welcoming, respectful, and purposeful community where people can learn, discuss, and practice Stoicism together. To ensure this, we ask all members, participants, and visitors to familiarise themselves with the following policies.

Membership Terms & Conditions

  • Membership is open to anyone with a genuine interest in Stoic philosophy.
  • Members are expected to uphold the values of the Society: wisdom, justice, courage, and moderation.
  • Membership may be paused or withdrawn if conduct consistently breaches our Code of Conduct.
  • Members will be notified of changes to policies or Society structure through our official communication channels.

Membership Fees

To cover administrative and operating expenses, the New Zealand Stoic Society levies a joining fee and an annual membership fee.

  • Joining fee: $10 (NZD) (one-time payment upon joining)

  • Annual membership fee: $15 (NZD) (renewable each year)

These modest contributions help support the Society’s activities, events, and community initiatives.
